How to select the appropriate module that suits my airport?

Modules M1 to M3 are designed to deliver specific answers to airport authorities, airport companies and its stakeholders as well as suppliers of terminal equipment.

Each module delivers valuable information for assessment of the performance of passenger terminal operations with respect to KPI’s, handling capacity, space requirements, commerce and level of service.

Modules M1 to M3 are interactive applications designed for assessments of a variety of passenger terminal types, size and complexity.

Your choice highly depends on the type, size and complexity of the airport and what is your business with respect to the airport in question!

Time is an important factor.

Do you require a prompt answer to your problem or do you require answers focused on the short, medium or long term.

Do you need prompt answers to mitigate problems that you encounter in day to day operations?

Do you need to check if the passenger terminal is fit to handle next seasons traffic volume enabling you to request and allocate budget for procuring the additional equipment?

Modules M1 and M2

Modules M1 and M2 are designed to suit a variety of small to medium and large sized airports.

Small to medium sized airports of the “one level and open apron” category fitted-out for processing departure and arrival flows (O/D), no transfers and serving only remote aircraft stands;

Medium to large sized airports of the "multiple level processor-pier/finger or satellite" category mainly focused on the processor side of the terminal building handling departure and arrival flows (O/D), no transfers.

The modules deliver you the answers to your questions with respect to the requirements of each passenger handling process in the departure and arrival flows.

Since modules M1 and M2 are designed to suit a variety of airports it is best to value the outcome of the airport in question as a comparison to a benchmark airport.

Module M1

Module M1 delivers a quick scan monitoring the airport's passenger terminal capacity.

The quick scan is delivering a qualitative indication of the departure and arrival chains showing surplus capacity, saturation and insufficient capacity of individual handling areas.

Select module M1 if you would like to know if the existing equipment be adequate for processing the expected passenger volume of the coming season.

If the results show that the existing equipment seems to be adequate you will be satisfied and leave the site for next seasons check.

If the results show that the existing equipment seems to be inadequate than you can opt for module M2 to understand what needs to be done to solve bottlenecks and bring the departure or arrival chain back into balance.

Module M2

Module M2 delivers a quick scan monitoring the airport's passenger terminal capacity in more detail.

The quick scan is delivering a qualitative & quantitative indication of the departure and arrival chains showing surplus capacity, saturation and insufficient capacity of the passenger handling areas.

Select Module M2 if you would like to have a clear answer for the procurement of additional equipment for the coming season and how much space you need for installation and passenger handling.

Module M2 goes one step further than module M1 and includes an estimation of the space requirements of the handling areas, the general waiting lounges, airline lounges, well-wishers hall and welcomers hall.

On top of this Module M2 delivers added value as a web application for budgeting and planning of terminal expansions and mitigation of existing terminal capacity. 

Module M3

If you require specific answers tailored to the type, size and complexity of the airport in question you are best served by using the more advanced modules M3.

Module M3 allows you to modify input parameters and put you in the driver’s seat. Besides from building a model that reproduces the type, size and complexity of the airport in question or the business, various airport development scenarios can be tested.
